Any individual, group or organization desiring to rent the City Hall for a particular function may be required to pay to the City Clerk a deposit in an amount to be determined by the City Council. This deposit is a refundable damage deposit in the event that there are no damages inflicted upon the building during the function. The deposit shall be returned to the individual, group or organization by the Clerk within 30 days after the function. If the deposit is not returned, the Clerk will provide the individual, group or organization with a written statement itemizing the damages and the reasons for retaining the deposit. If the damages are greater than the deposit, the city reserves the right to proceed with appropriate legal action against the individuals, group or organization to recover for the damage sustained above the amount of deposit.
