Where any hedges or trees have been planted along the margin of a highway in the culvert or right of way, the village may contract with the owner for their destruction, and they shall be destroyed. The planting of such hedges or trees hereafter on the margin of highway is declared to be a public nuisance and in violation of this chapter. The cost incurred by the village shall be assessed to the owner and the village shall have the right to file a lien against owner's property for the cost thereof. (Ord. 1990-O-58 § 7)
