A. Design Standards:
1. Road geometrics shall conform to the design standards established in the "Highway Design Manual". Roads shall be designed on the basis of the following design speeds:
Collector roads | 50 mph |
Local roads | 30 mph |
2. All design standards are subject to the minimum requirements as specified herein.
B. Horizontal Curvature: Angles on the centerlines of roads shall not be permitted except at intersections. Centerline radii shall be as follows: collector roads conform to standards set by the village engineer; local and all other roads, one hundred feet (100').
C. Vertical Curvature: No vertical curve shall be less than one hundred fifty feet (150') in length except at road intersections. In no case shall a vertical curve at a road intersection be less than fifty feet (50'). Vertical curves will be required at all locations where the algebraic difference of the grades is one percent (1%) or greater. (Ord. 2000-O-22 § 1)
