Pursuant to sections 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-2-1 and 5/1-2-1.1, a violation of any of the provisions of this code shall be a misdemeanor. Unless a lower penalty is specified for violation of a specific section, any violations shall be punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment or both such fine and imprisonment.
