8.12.050: ABANDONMENT ON OR NEAR HIGHWAY; OWNER TO PAY TOWING COSTS:
   A.   When a vehicle is abandoned on a highway in the village for ten (10) hours or more, the code enforcement officer may order its removal by a towing service.
   B.   When an abandoned, unattended, wrecked, burned or partially dismantled vehicle is creating a traffic hazard because of its position in relation to the highway or its physical appearance is causing the impeding of traffic, the police or the code enforcement officer may order its immediate removal from the highway by a towing service.
   C.   When a vehicle removed from either public or private property is authorized by order of the code enforcement officer, the owner of the vehicle shall be responsible for all towing costs. (Ord. 2004-O-04 § 4)
