A. Name And Telephone Number: Every village authorized taxicab shall bear on both sides of the vehicle, in a color contrasting to that of the vehicle itself, the name and telephone number of the company which it serves. The lettering shall be a minimum of two inches (2") in height and one-fourth inch (1/4") brush stroke.
B. Identification Number: The identification number assigned to the taxicab by the company shall be affixed to the exterior of the vehicle on the left and right sides and on the rear of the vehicle. The identification number must also appear in a conspicuous place in the passenger area. These numbers must be a minimum of two inches (2") in height and one-fourth inch (1/4") brush stroke.
C. Color Identification: Each owner or association of owners of a public passenger vehicle company shall select and submit to the village administrator a distinctive color or combination of colors or designs identifiable to such owner or association to be used on their taxicab vehicles and not likely to be confused with any other owner or association. Once such color identification has been selected and approved by the village administrator, no other owner or association shall utilize a color or combination of colors or designs likely to be confused with a previously approved design. Upon approval, the owner or association shall decorate each public passenger vehicle or taxicab vehicle identically. (Ord. 2010-O-67)
