9-9-1: CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS:
   A.   The construction and design of individual wells must comply with those standards set forth in Minnesota rules chapter 4725, as amended.
   B.   In addition, provisions must be made to allow the future connection of any new well to city water when it is installed to serve the lot by a pipe at least one hundred sixty (160) pounds per square inch (psi) and meets MN4715, the state of Minnesota plumbing code. This may be achieved by one of the following:
      1.   Installing a four inch (4") sleeve from a point within the house to at least twenty feet (20') past the exterior wall into the yard adjacent to the street or area that is most likely where city water will be installed in the future to serve the lot, or
      2.   Providing a main water line pipe having the ability to handle at least one hundred sixty (160) psi that extends at least twenty feet (20') from the exterior foundation wall into the yard adjacent to the street or area that is most likely where city water will be installed in the future to serve the lot connected to the new well, or
      3.   Installing a single water pipe having the ability to handle at least one hundred sixty (160) psi from a point within the interior of the structure to at least twenty feet (20') past the exterior wall. (Ord. 2014-19, 6-17-2014)
