This chapter is adopted for the purpose of:
A. Protecting the public health, safety, comfort, convenience and general welfare;
B. Promoting orderly development of the residential, business, industrial, recreational and public areas;
C. Providing for adequate light, air and convenience of access to property by regulating the use of land and building and the bulk of structures in relationship to surrounding properties;
D. Limiting congestion in the public rights of way;
E. Providing for the administration of this chapter and defining the powers and duties of the administrating officer as provided hereinafter; and
F. Prescribing penalties for the violation of the provisions of this chapter or any amendment thereto. (Ord. 55.1, 9-5-1995)
