A. Permit Required; Fee: Before any person shall be allowed to open any ditch on any public street, alley or avenue in the city for the purpose of placing therein sewer or water mains or pipes, an excavation permit therefor shall first be obtained from the city for the fee set from time to time by the city council. B. Barricades; Warning Lights: Any person so opening any ditch must keep the same guarded by a fence by day plus warning lights by night together with additional warning for traffic as required by the city public works director.
C. Guarantee: Any work performed by any such party for the city must be guaranteed for a period of one year after its installation. (Ord. 30, 11-1-1977)
