A. Civil Remedies: This chapter may be enforced by injunction, action for abatement, or other appropriate civil remedy.
B. Criminal Penalties:
1. Petty Misdemeanor: Any violation of this chapter involving the operation of a motor vehicle is a petty misdemeanor and, upon conviction, the violator shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.
2. Misdemeanor: Every person who violates any other provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction, be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. In all cases, the city shall be entitled to collect the costs of prosecution to the extent outlined by law, rules of criminal procedure, and the rules of court.
3. Separate Offense: Each act of violation and each day a violation occurs or continues constitutes a separate offense. (Ord. 69, 11-7-1996; amd. 2002 Code)
