§ 32.025 ESTABLISHMENT; DUTIES.
   (A)   There shall be a Police Department of the city.
   (B)   Members of the Police Department shall enforce the ordinances and laws applicable in the city, prevent crime, protect lives and property, maintain the peace, serve process on behalf of the city, and have such additional powers and duties as are prescribed by law and by this code and as the City Council may determine.
