Within fifteen (15) days after abatement of the violation, the owner of the property will be notified of the cost of abatement, including administrative costs. The property owner may file a written protest objecting to the amount of the assessment, which protest shall be processed in the same manner as an appeal of a notice of violation.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall become liable to the city by reason of such violation. The liability shall be paid in not more than twelve (12) equal payments. Interest at the rate of one percent (1%) per annum shall be assessed on the balance beginning on the thirtieth day following the assessment of the fine. All partial payments shall first be allocated to accrued interest and then to the outstanding principal amount then due. (Ord. 16-46, 9-19-2016)
