§ 152.002 HEALTH OFFICER TO INSPECT.
   (A)   The Health Officer is authorized and directed to make inspections to determine the condition of dwellings, dwelling units and premises located within the county, in order that the Health Department may perform its duty of safe-guarding the health and safety of the occupants of dwellings and of the general public.
   (B)   For the purpose of making the inspections the Health Officer, having reasonable cause, is hereby authorized to enter, examine, at proper times upon presenting proper credentials of identification, all dwellings, dwelling units, rooming units and premises.
   (C)   The owner or occupant of every dwelling, dwelling unit and rooming unit, or the person in charge thereof, shall give the Health Officer access to the dwelling, dwelling unit or rooming unit and its premises, at proper times for the purpose of the inspection and examination.
   (D)   Every occupant of a dwelling or dwelling unit shall give the owner thereof, or his or her agent or employee, access to any part of the dwelling or dwelling unit, or its premises, at all reasonable times for the purpose of making the repairs or alterations as are necessary to effect compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
