Every driver of a vehicle traversing any street intersecting with any through street shall stop such vehicle before entering upon the through street unless a "go" signal is given at such intersection by a traffic officer or a traffic signal. The following streets and parts of streets are hereby declared to be through streets:
Bainbridge Street from Mortimer Street to Mason Street.
Mortimer Street, that part from the east City limits to Chauncey Street and Chauncey Street from Mortimer Street to the north City limits. (1944 Code § 354)
