The plan commission shall consist of the village president, as ex officio member, and nine (9) members appointed by the president, by and with the advice and consent of the board of trustees. (Ord. 62-7, 8-27-1962; amd. Ord. 85-10, 5-20-1985)
The village president shall serve for the term of his elective office. All other members shall serve respectively for the following terms: three (3) for one year, three (3) for two (2) years and three (3) for three (3) years, as designated by appointment. Upon the expiration of the term of each member so appointed, the successor shall serve for a term of three (3) years. Vacancies shall be filled by appointments for unexpired terms only. The village president, with the approval of the trustees, shall appoint a chairman from among the members to serve for a term of one year, and until his successor shall be appointed and qualified. Except as to the chairman, the plan commission shall organize itself, and elect a vice chairman, a secretary, and such other officers as it may desire. (Ord. 77-6, 3-28-1977)
Every member who shall be present when a question is stated from the chair shall vote thereon, including the chairman unless excused by a majority of the commissioners present or unless such member has recused himself. (Ord. 11-05, 3-28-2011)
