1-11-4: QUALIFICATIONS OF HEARING OFFICERS:
Prior to conducting proceedings under this chapter, a Hearing Officer shall successfully complete a formal training program that includes the following:
   (A)   Instruction on the rules of procedure of the hearing that they will conduct;
   (B)   Orientation to each subject area of the Code or ordinance violations that they will administer;
   (C)   Observations of administrative hearings; and
   (D)   Participation in hypothetical cases, including rules on evidence and issuing final orders.
In addition, every Hearing Officer must be an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois for at least three (3) years, and be in good standing with the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois. A Hearing Officer is not required to be a resident of the Village. (Ord. 19-06, 2-25-2019)
