§ 31.25 INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ECONOMIC AUTHORITY.
   (A)   The county and City of Glasgow local governments are vitally interested in the economic development of this county, and whereas, a strong commitment is necessary on the part of local government to ensure the continuing success of such economic development, and whereas, only by a joint effort of public and private sectors can the continuous success be assured, and whereas, the creation of an industrial development economic authority will ensure that these development efforts are sustained, and whereas, an industrial development economic authority will be able to bring about in the most effective manner, the economic development of the county and City of Glasgow, the county shall establish an industrial development economic authority pursuant to KRS 154.50-20 et seq. in association and partnership with the City of Glasgow for the purpose of providing the agricultural, business, and industrial economics, and improving the overall quality of life for the citizens of the county and City of Glasgow, and the county shall enter into the appropriate interlocal agreement to establish this authority.
   (B)   This section becomes effective immediately upon passage upon second reading and publication.
