§ 31.22 COUNTY CEMETERY BOARD.
   (A)   The County Fiscal Court enacts this section which shall be known and may be cited as the “Barren County Cemetery Board Ordinance”.
   (B)   There is hereby created the County Cemetery Board, in accordance with the provisions of KRS 67.680 and 67.682, which shall serve in the interest of restoring, preserving, and maintaining nonprofit cemeteries in the county that do not receive perpetual care funds pursuant to KRS 367.952. The County Cemetery Board shall operate to achieve the objectives set out above, within the administrative guidelines adopted by the Department for Local Government pursuant to KRS 67.682
   (C)   Pursuant to KRS 67.680(2), the County Cemetery Board shall meet three times annually in a space provided by the Fiscal Court and shall have five volunteer members with no more than three members representing the same political party. Members shall be appointed by the County Judge/Executive with the approval of the Fiscal Court, shall have lived in the county for at least one year prior to appointment, and shall have demonstrated an interest in cemetery preservation, genealogy, local history, or related area.
   (D)   This section shall be in full force and effect from and after its approval, adoption, and publication.
