A. Employee Orientation: Supervisors shall be responsible for providing orientation to new employees. Orientation shall include comprehensive information about Town government structure and functions, pay plans, personnel rules, fringe benefits, safety procedures and programs, policies of the office or work area, grievance procedures, necessary employment forms and any other policies or programs which may affect the person's employment. Orientation will be provided on an on-going basis as policies and procedures are created or revised. (Ord. 89-01, 4-18-1989)
B. Performance Evaluation:
1. After their initial employment 1 , Town employees shall receive a written performance evaluation prepared by their supervisor on a yearly basis. The evaluation shall be based upon the employee's performance, in all regards, of the job duties and responsibilities outlined in the Town's position classification plan applicable to the job held by the employee.
2. Employees may receive a written evaluation of their performance. Copies will be given to the employee and placed in the personnel file. Evaluations for employees may occur at least once each year. (Ord. 89-01, 4-18-1989; amd. 1999 Code)
