The Commission shall be composed of three individuals who shall be known as “Members of the Board” who shall be appointed for terms of three years by Council. The initial Board shall consist of three, one member of which shall be appointed for a term of one year, one member of which shall be appointed for a term of two years, and one member of which shall be appointed for a term of three years. Each member of the Board shall have one vote on all matters coming before it.
Any individual who is a resident of the Village shall be eligible to serve as a member of the Board. Village Council shall inform the Commission of its appointments or re-appointments to the Board by delivering to the Commission a certified copy of the ordinance or resolution making the appointment or re-appointment. There shall be no more than two of the three members of the Board from the same political party and no member of the Commission shall hold any office other than the office of notary public or employment under the United States of America, the State, any country or political subdivision thereof, or any political party.
