§ 234.01 DIVISION OF TAXATION; ESTABLISHMENT; REGULATIONS.
   A Division of Taxation is hereby created which shall have such officers, deputies, clerks and other employees as may from time to time be determined by Council; such employees shall receive such compensation as may be determined by Council. The Auditor shall make all appointments of personnel and purchase all supplies for the Division. The Division shall be charged with the administration of the city income tax under the direction of the Auditor who shall prescribe the form and method of accounts and reports to be rendered by the Division to his or her office and shall examine and audit all such accounts and exhibit accurate records showing the amount received from each taxpayer and the date of the receipt. The Auditor shall also make written report to Council annually of all moneys collected hereunder during the preceding year.
