§ 1444.09 APPLICATION AND PLAN EXAMINATION AND APPROVAL.
   The Building Commissioner shall examine, or cause to be examined, each application for a permit, and the plans, specifications and computations which may be submitted therewith, and it shall be determined by such examination whether the matter mentioned in the application and indicated, described and determined in the plans, specifications and computations, is in accordance with the requirements of the Residential Building Code of Ohio for One-, Two- and Three-Family Dwellings, for all residential construction and all other pertinent laws and ordinances. All plans, specifications and computations submitted to the Building Department, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Ohio Building Code, shall be reviewed for compliance by a registered Class IV Plans Examiner as specified in the Ohio Building Code and all other pertinent laws and ordinances. If the Plans Examiner is satisfied that the plans and other matters submitted therewith conform to the requirements of the Ohio Building Code and other pertinent laws and ordinances, he or she shall endorse, in writing or by stamp, both sets of plans “APPROVED”, and such approval shall bear the signature of the Plans Examiner and the Building Official who checked the plans and other matter submitted therewith.
