(A) The Building Commissioner may require details, computations, stress diagrams and other data necessary to describe the construction and basis of calculations. He or she may also require plans showing the location of the proposed building or structure and of every existing building or structure on the site or lot, in accordance with a boundary line survey prepared by a registered surveyor. For other than dwellings and minor buildings, he or she shall require that the unit stresses and live loads used in the design of the building be tabulated on the structural drawings, and that the drawings bear a statement by the designer certifying that the unit stresses, permitted by this Building Code, have not been exceeded. He or she shall require structural plans and computations to bear the signature of the registered architect or registered engineer in charge of the structural design.
(B) The Building Commissioner may require additional and/or supplemental plans for continued work commenced under previously approved plans where, in the Building Commissioner’s opinion, material, structural and/or site alterations have rendered such previously approved plans inadequate or inappropriate. All work performed pursuant to such additional and/or supplemental plans shall conform to the requirements of this Building Code as of the date such additional and/or supplemental plans are approved.
