§ 1430.02 ERECTION, REPAIR OR ALTERATION BY OWNER.
   (A)   Any owner who paints, constructs, erects, repair or alters one or more signs at, or to be erected at, his or her residence or place of business shall not be considered as being in the commercial or electric sign business or in the outdoor advertising sign business; provided that, such signs are primarily for the benefit of such owner or his or her place of business; and, provided further that, the erecting, repairing or altering of such sign is done by the owner or one or more employees who are regularly employed by such owner and are not employed primarily for the erection of signs.
   (B)   An owner or his or her employee who constructs, erects, repairs and/or alters a sign, as permitted in division (A) above, shall be subject to all of the provisions of this chapter, including the bond and insurance requirements of § 1430.04 of this chapter, except those provisions which apply to licensing.
