§ 1424.01 “ELECTRICAL WIRING” DEFINED; EXEMPTIONS.
   As used in this chapter, ELECTRICAL WIRING means all electrical conductors, wiring methods, fixture outlets, equipment, devices and gaseous tubes installed, used or to be used or maintained in the city. The term does not, however, include, and registration and permits, therefore, shall not be required for: the replacement of fuses, lamps, wall switches, receptacles and sockets; the attachment of portable appliances, motors and other devices when the same are not attached to permanent wiring; the wiring which is an integral part of machinery, appliances, apparatus and vehicles; and wiring otherwise exempted in this Building Code.
