A person, firm or corporation holding a general contractor’s, an electrical, HVAC, master plumber’s or sewer layer’s registration at the time of the effective date of this section may continue to hold such registration until its expiration date, and may renew it; provided, however, that, the registration of a firm or corporation shall be renewed by and to the person through whom it was formerly held by such firm or corporation, except as provided in § 1422.14 of this chapter.
