Before a permit may be obtained, a copy of insurance from the party performing the work must be on file. A homeowner may construct his or her own sidewalk, but he or she will be required to sign a disclaimer. Insurance will not be required of the homeowner (Ord. 144-1998); however, a $100 refundable deposit to guarantee the work will be required of the homeowner (Ord. 109-2001).
