(A) On all new and existing connections, the property owner shall install and maintain a cut-off valve, on his or her side of the meter, for the control of water service by the property owner. No one other than a town employee shall use the cut-off valve on the town’s side of the meter.
(B) The pipe and connections from the main line to the customer’s side of the meter will be maintained by the town without expense to the property owner. If the meter is found to be across the property line, it shall be moved back to the property line.
(C) All pipe, connections, and fixtures on the property must be kept in repair by the property owner or consumer.
(D) In the event of town employees disconnecting service where property owners do not have a cut-off valve, a fee will be charged in accordance with the town fee schedule, on file with the Town Clerk.
