§ 50.002 PROHIBITED ACTS.
   (A)   The town prohibits the digging or drilling of private wells within the town limits, providing the town can furnish water to the subject property.
   (B)   No persons except the properly authorized agent of the town shall tap or make any connection with the main or distribution pipes of the water works. No plumber or other person shall make connection with any service pipe until application shall have been made for the same and permit granted, at which time all bills chargeable against such connection must be paid, subject to the penalty provided in this chapter.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person to place, deposit, or permit to be deposited in any unsanitary manner on public or private property within the town, or in any area under the jurisdiction of the town, any human or animal excrement, garbage, or objectionable waste.
   (D)   It shall be unlawful to discharge to any natural outlet within the town, or in any area under the jurisdiction of the town, any wastewater or other polluted waters, except where suitable treatment has been provided in accordance with subsequent provisions of the chapter.
   (E)   Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful to construct or maintain any privy vault, septic tank, cesspool, or other facility intended or used for the disposal of wastewater.
   (F)   No unauthorized person(s) shall uncover, make any connections with or opening into, use, alter, or disturb any public sewer or appurtenance thereof, without first obtaining a written permit in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
   (G)   No person(s) shall discharge, or cause to be discharged, any unpolluted waters, such as storm water, ground water, roof runoff, subsurface drainage, or cooling water to any sewer.
   (H)   No person(s) shall maliciously, willfully, or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface, or tamper with any structure, appurtenance, or equipment which is a part of the wastewater facilities. Any person(s) violating this provision shall be subject to immediate arrest under appropriate charges.
   (I)   No person(s) shall use or permit the use of any town water through any of the town water facilities where service has been cut off or discontinued, or otherwise use the town water facilities without first having obtained authorization through the procedures set forth herein. These persons shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished as provided by the state statutes.
   (J)   No person(s) shall fill special use tanks or tankers containing pesticides, fertilizers, or other toxic chemicals or their residues from the town public water system except at a location equipped with an over the rim free discharge of water or an approved reduced pressure backflow preventer properly installed on the public water supply. The town shall not permit the filling of such special use containers except at locations so equipped.
   (K)   It shall be unlawful for any persons to cut, break, obstruct, damage, change, alter or otherwise interfere with any water pipe or water main or hydrant or sewer pipe or water tank or meter or anything being a part of the waterworks or sewer system.
   (L)   It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship or other business entity acting by or through its officer, employee, or agent to take water from a fire hydrant within the town limits or any other town source, without the written consent of the Public Services Director.
   (M)   No person shall alter, adjust, tamper, deface, or otherwise interfere with a water meter except as authorized by this chapter or the Public Services Director.
   (N)   No person shall alter, tamper, deface, bypass, or attempt to bypass a water meter for the purposes of affecting a water or sewer service reading.
