§ 151.99 PENALTY.
   The penalties as set forth in G.S. § 160D-807 shall prevail. Any person, being the owner or agent of the owner of any land located within the planning jurisdiction granted to the municipality (G.S. § 160D-201), who thereafter transfers or sells such land by reference to a plat showing a subdivision of such land before such plat has been approved by said legislative body and recorded in the office of the appropriate Register of Deeds, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and the description by metes and bounds in the instrument of transfer or other document used in the process of selling or transferring shall not exempt the transaction from such penalties. Said municipality, through its Town Attorney or other official designate by its local legislative board, may enjoin such transfer or sale by action for injunction. Such transactions are also subject to the penalties as set forth in § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.
