§ 50.111 LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES; OTHER REMEDIES.
   (A)   Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall become liable to the town for any expense, loss or damage occasioned the town by reason of such violation. This shall include, but not be limited to, all additional fines and/or penalties which may result from further legal proceedings and all associated legal and court costs.
   (B)   Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter is liable to have his or her water turned off from the premises after notice, and the town shall incur no liability whatever for turning off the water under such circumstances.
   (C)   No provisions of this chapter shall preclude the town from taking such action for appropriate legal and/or equitable relief in the court system of the state and/or the United States against any person(s) discharging industrial wastes or other wastes into the POTW’s system contrary to the provisions of this chapter.
   (D)   The Public Services Director is authorized to suspend and disconnect the water service of any customer who has altered, adjusted, tampered, defaced, or otherwise interfered with a water meter.
   (E)   The Public Services Director is authorized to suspend and disconnect the water service of any customer who has altered, tampered, defaced, bypassed, or attempted to bypass a water meter for the purposes of affecting a water or sewer service reading.
