(A) The operator of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury or death to any person, or damage to property, shall immediately stop and do the following:
(1) Render reasonable assistance to any injured person, including the carrying of such person to a physician or surgeon for medical treatment if it is apparent that such treatment is necessary or is requested by the injured person;
(2) Give his or her name and address and the name and address of the owner and license number of the vehicle he or she is driving to the person struck or the driver or occupants of any vehicle collided with;
(3) Immediately, by the quickest means of communication, report such accident to the nearest available law enforcement officer, and provide the information required by division (A)(2) above;
(4) If the accident is with an unattended vehicle or other property, the operator shall attempt to locate and notify the owner of such unattended vehicle or property and give the information required by division (A)(2) above; and
(5) If the owner of the unattended vehicle or property is unknown, the information required by division (A)(2) above shall be securely attached or left in a conspicuous place in or on such unattended vehicle or property.
(B) Any operator of any vehicle involved in such an accident who fails to fully comply with this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
