(A) The International Existing Building Code, 2018 edition, including Resource A, Guidelines on Fire Ratings of Archaic Materials and Assemblies, as published by the International Code Council Inc., and amendments and additions thereto as provided in this subchapter, are hereby adopted as the existing building code by the city for regulating and governing the repair, alteration, change of occupancy, addition, and relocation of existing buildings, including historic buildings, as herein provided and provides for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefor.
(B) The adoption of the International Existing Building Code, 2018 edition, will become effective July 1, 2019. The minimum building standards in the 2018 edition of the International Existing Building Code and amendments thereto shall be applied to any building permit issued after July 1, 2019.
(C) The city shall publish Ordinance 271, without attachments, after its passage. The attachments are on file and available for inspection at the office of the City Clerk.
