Where subject to external corrosion, piping, related fluid-handling components and supports for both underground and above-ground applications shall be fabricated from noncorrosive materials and coated or provided with corrosion protection. Dissimilar metallic parts that promote galvanic action shall not be joined. Cathodic protection systems shall meet the requirements of applicable South Dakota Administrative Rules.
