Each owner or keeper of a dog or cat of the age of six months or over shall, within 30 days of the acquisition of such animal or within 30 days of the time such animal becomes six months old, cause such animal to be licensed at the animal shelter. A rabies immunization certificate and the appropriate fee must accompany all applications for license certificates.
