(A) Buildings in existence prior to the effective date of this chapter may have their existing use or occupancy continued if the use or occupancy was legal prior to the effective date of this chapter, and provided
continued use is not dangerous to life, health and safety.
(B) A change in the use or occupancy of any existing building or structure shall comply with the provisions of this code.
