§ 111.37 DISABLED VETERANS.
   Every peddler, solicitor, or other person claiming to be entitled to exemption from the payment of any business license tax provided for in this chapter upon the grounds that he is an honorably discharged or released soldier, sailor or marine of the United States who is physically unable to obtain a livelihood by manual labor and who shall be a qualified elector of the state, as provided by Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 16001 or other law of this state, shall, in addition to any other information required by this chapter, also file with the City Clerk a certificate of a regularly licensed and practicing physician dated within one year of the application, to the effect that the applicant is physically unable to obtain a livelihood by manual labor, and stating the nature of the incapacitation; provided no exempt business license shall be issued except in cases where the veteran applying there for is actively engaged in the management and conduct of the business for which the exemption is requested.
