§ 31.24 SUBPOENA OF WITNESS.
   The judge of the municipal court, on the application of any party to a cause pending before him or her, shall issue a subpoena citing any person whose testimony may be required in such cause to appear before him or her at a certain time and place, not more than 20 miles from the residence of such witness, to give evidence. Such subpoena shall be served personally at least one day before such attendance is required. If such person shall neglect or refuse to attend, the judge may order such witness to be brought before him or her or, if any witness attending shall refuse to give evidence, without good cause shown, the judge may commit him or her to the jail of the county for not longer than one day.
