§ 70.01 ADOPTION OF STATE LAWS REGULATING TRAFFIC ON HIGHWAYS.
   (A)   Purpose. This section is adopted in order to establish the rules and regulations governing the use and operation of vehicles within the town limits.
   (B)   Adoption of state laws regulating traffic. Unless otherwise specifically covered by this section, all of the provisions and requirements of the general law of the state regulating traffic on highways as contained in S.C. Code Title 56, Chapter 5 as now in force or as hereafter amended and insofar as such provisions can have application within the town, are hereby adopted and made a part of this section as fully as though set out therein. All persons within the town shall strictly comply with all of the regulations imposed hereby, when so applicable.
   (C)   Enforcement. The town shall administer and enforce the provisions of this section directly and/or by contract with the county.
