260.21  REIMBURSEMENT OF RETIRED EMPLOYEES FOR COST OF SPOUSE'S HEALTH INSURANCE.
   A non-bargaining employee who retires from the City under the Ohio Public Employee’s Retirement System (OPERS), will be eligible for reimbursement for uo to one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month of the cost of health care coverage for the retired employee’s non-working spouse, for a period of thirty-six months following the month of retirement. the cost of the insurance coverage for the spouse will be paid by the retiree to the Ohio Public Employee’s Retirement System. The retiree must provide written proof of such payment and evidence of health coverage issued by and through the OPERS in order to be eligible for reimbursement. For purposes of this section, “retired” means that the employee was a member of the OPERS who separated from the City service and immediately began receiving a monthly allowance as provided in R.C. §§ 145.32, 145.33 and 145.34 as enacted prior to July 1, 2011.
