260.18  BEREAVEMENT LEAVE.
   (a)   Employees shall be allowed bereavement leave with pay in the event of the death of a member of the employee's or the employee's spouse's "immediate family."  The term "immediate family" means father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife, child and grandparents of the employee and/or his or her spouse.
   (b)   Full-time employees in the Police Department and Municipal Court shall be allowed bereavement leave with pay for a period not to exceed three work days for each death, including travel, within the State of Ohio, and five days for each death, including travel time, outside the State of Ohio.

   (c)   The Director of Municipal Utilities, the Assistant Director of Municipal Utilities, the Water Plant Superintendent, the Superintendent of Collection and Distribution, the WPCC Superintendent, the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, the Cashier-Bookkeeper, the Biller-Bookkeeper I and the Biller-Bookkeeper II shall be entitled to bereavement leave of up to five days with pay to be charged as follows:
      (1)   Three days bereavement leave.
      (2)   From four to said maximum of five days of bereavement leave, if taken, shall be charged as sick leave.

   (d)   Full-time members of the Fire Department who work a twenty-four hour tour of duty shall be allowed bereavement leave with pay for a period not to exceed two work days.
   (e)   All other full-time Municipal employees shall be allowed bereavement leave with pay of up to five days, to be charged as follows:
      (1)   Three days bereavement leave.
      (2)   From four to said maximum of five days, if taken, shall be charged as sick leave.
