The Town Attorney shall be the legal adviser of all the officers of the town in relation to their official acts, and shall advise the Council upon all matters of law which may be submitted to him or her in reference to the action of the Council. He or she shall draw all contracts, ordinances and legal documents which may be required of him or her by the Council, prosecute all actions in favor of the town, and defend all actions brought against the town and perform all other acts pertaining to the duties of his or her office.
