The President of the Town Council shall, during the sessions of the Council, be governed by the rules, and generally perform the duties of the presiding officer in legislative or deliberative assemblies. He or she shall have the right to vote on all questions before the Council, and may, as provided in § 30.01, call special meetings of the Council at times he or she may deem necessary and proper. He or she shall sign all warrants drawn on the Town Treasury, and he or she shall duly sign each ordinance adopted by the Council at the time he or she approves the same and shall likewise sign the record of each ordinance after the same is needed.
