(A) The City Council desires to award full-time employees with longevity pay effective January 1, 2009.
(B) The City Council defines LONGEVITY as continuous employment with the city.
(C) Longevity pay shall be paid to each eligible employee annually on or before the first paid period in the month of December, starting in December 2009.
(D) The City Council may from year to year reevaluate the amount of longevity pay.
(E) If any employee terminates employment with the city prior to the month of December, longevity pay shall be paid on a pro-rated basis and paid upon separation of employment.
(F) Years of continuous employment will be calculated as of November 15 each year.
(G) Elected officials shall not receive longevity pay.
(H) The City Council determines that longevity pay schedule shall be as follows:
