(A) The Police Department shall inspect the property after five days following the date of the notice to determine whether the violation has been cured. If the landowner or resident of said property has failed to remove the grass, weeds, or rank vegetation, the Police Department may issue to the landowner or resident of said property a citation to the amount of $50 for an ordinance violation which states the relevant offenses of this chapter.
(B) In addition, if the landowner or resident of said property upon re-inspection has failed to remove the grass, weeds, or rank vegetation, the city through its Street Department may enter the property and remove the grass, weeds, or rank vegetation. The city may also pursue any other appropriate legal remedies.
