§ 131.01  DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS.
   Pursuant to the statutes of the State of Nebraska, including Neb. RS 17-556, it shall be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any gun, pistol or other fowling piece, including an air gun, BB gun, slingshot or the like loaded with rock or other dangerous missiles, within the city; provided, nothing herein shall be construed to apply to the following:  the city’s gun range, certified law enforcement officers, self-defense, discharge for educational purposes, and officially sanctioned public celebrations if the persons so discharging firearms have prior written permission of the City Council.
