In accordance with the statutes of the State of Nebraska, including Neb. RS 17-522 through 17-724, the city may construct and repair sidewalks and assess the expense thereof on the property in front of which the construction or repairs are made. All sidewalks constructed around the Courthouse Square and one-half a block there from, L Street from Twelfth Street to Thirteenth Street, M Street from Twelfth Street to Thirteenth Street, Twelfth Street from L Street to M Street and Thirteenth Street from L Street to M Street and a half a block there from shall be constructed according to the standards of the Cornerstone Model previously adopted by this Council, and no building permit shall be issued for construction of sidewalks whose design is not in conformity with the Cornerstone Model.
