In accordance with the statutes of the State of Nebraska, including Neb. RS 81-520.01, there is a statewide open burning ban on all bonfires, outdoor rubbish fires and fires for the purpose of clearing land. The Fire Chief or his or her designee may waive the ban by issuing an open burning permit in writing, on a form prescribed by the State Fire Marshal, when conditions are deemed acceptable.
