§ 52.32  UNLAWFUL USE.
   (A)   Pursuant to the statutes of the State of Nebraska, including Neb. RS 17-145 thereof, it is hereby declared unlawful for any person to discharge or cause to be discharged any storm water, surface water, ground water, roof runoff, surface drainage, uncontaminated cooling or heating water or unpolluted industrial process waters into the sanitary sewer. Storm water and all other unpolluted drainage shall be discharged to the sewers or storm sewers, or to a natural outlet approved by the Sewer Commissioner. Industrial cooling water or unpolluted process waters may be discharged on approval of the Sewer Commissioner to a storm sewer, combined sewer or natural outlet.
   (B)   Except as hereinafter provided, no person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any of the following described waters or wastes into the city’s sewer system:
      (1)   Liquids or vapors having a temperature higher than 150°F;
      (2)   Water or waste which may contain more than 400 parts per 1,000,000 by weight of fat, oil or grease;
      (3)   Gasoline, benzene, naptha, fuel oil, other flammable or explosive liquids, solids or gases;
      (4)   Garbage that has not been properly shredded;
      (5)   Sand, mud, metal, rags, paper or other solid or viscous substances capable of causing obstruction to the flow in the sewer system;
      (6)   Toxic or poisonous substances in sufficient quantity to interfere with or injure the sewage treatment process, constitute a hazard to humans, animals or fish, or create any hazard in the receiving area of the sewage treatment plant;
      (7)   Suspended solids of a character and quantity that unusual attention or expense is required to handle those materials;
      (8)   Waters or wastes having a pH lower than 7.0 or higher than 9.0 or having other corrosive properties capable of causing damage to the structures, equipment and personnel of the Sewer Department; and
      (9)   Any noxious or malodorous gas or substance capable of creating a public nuisance.
