(A) An approved backflow device shall be installed on each service line to a customer’s water supply system serving the following types of facilities unless no health, pollution or system hazard exists:
(1) Hospitals, mortuaries, dental clinics, nursing and convalescent homes, medical buildings, dry cleaners;
(2) Film developing facilities;
(3) Food or beverage processing plants;
(4) Chemical plants;
(5) Metal depressing, plating industries, machine tool plants, dye and metal processing plants;
(6) Swimming pools;
(7) Rendering plants;
(8) Premises having water recirculating systems;
(9) Schools, universities, colleges; and
(10) Other commercial or industrial facilities which may constitute a potential cross-connection.
(B) The type of protection required will be based upon the regulations set forth in Chapter 2, Title 179, of the Nebraska Department of Health Rules and Regulations.
